Klippan Award international architecture prize
Klippan Award international architecture prize   The new architecture prize hope to promote architectural work in a timeless and enduring style, built in Lewerentz spirit. It is not necessary for the work to be made in stone. The price would like to focus on the architectural quality and the outstanding qualities with an object instead of the architect's name. The items has to be created in 2000 or later. An international jury which, among others, the Swedish designer Johan Celsing has selected 15 finalists out of 60 proposed construction projects around the world to a final assessment in October. Klippan Award is funded by Hispalyt - an association of 250 roof and roof-tile producers in Spain.
Jose Ignacio Linazasoro is a well-known Spanish architect and professor at the College of Architects of Madrid. His work has received much attention both within and outside of Spain. Linazasoro has been inspired so much of Lewerentz that he has taken the initiative to establish this new international architecture prize. Linazasoro has also chosen to dedicate the price to the place where the most prominent example of Lewerentz 'works are - Klippan.

The international architectural price Klippan Award that would distributed regularly in the St. Petri Church is canceled. There are no companies in Spain who are willing to invest money in the price because of the financial crisis. Possible price will resume in the future.
